Regression Session
One reason that I came to W. P. Carey was the small and intimate program. This was highlighted during my internship this summer. I interned with Dell in their Round Rock, TX office in the Global Support Services group. For my internship project I realized that I needed to run some regressions. With the data and situation not as clear cut as it is in school, I wanted to bounce my ideas and methodology against an expert. I reached out to my first trimester statistics professor, Professor Stuart Low. I sent him a short email describing the project at 10am and by 2pm I was on a call with him going through the details.
Dell was very impressed with the proactive approach of reaching out into my network of resources and I was very impressed with accessibility of our professors. In addition, many of my internship peers were impressed with the close relationship I had with all of my professors. At W. P. Carey, each of your professors will know you not only by name but as a colleague. That is one attribute that sets the W. P. Carey MBA apart from other programs.
