    Section 1 of 2: Macintosh

    1. Click Go

    2. Select Connect to Server

     

    3. Enter the network path desired. 

    The path for the personal storage area (or G: Drive) is \\itfs1.asu.edu\(username)
    The path for the shared department drives (or P: drive) is \\wpcfas02.wpcarey.ad.asu.edu\shares

    ***NOTE*** Your Username is your ASURITE ID that is 8 characters or less and is used to log into the ASU computers and web pages

    3a. If this is a website you will be visiting frequently, click + to add to your favorite servers

    4. Click Connect

    5. Enter asurite\username in the first field of the login window

    6. Enter your password

    7. Check the box next to Remember this password in my keychain

    8. Click Connect

    9. The network drive will now appear in the Finder under "Shared"

    Section 2 of 2: Windows 7

    1. Click on the Windows Pearl

    2. Select Computer

    3. If there is an existing drive mapped to the letter you need to use, it will need to be removed.

    If there is no preexisting mapped drive, then skip to step 4

    3a. Right-Click on the mapped drive to be removed

    3b. Click Disconnect

    4. Click Map Network Drive

    ***NOTE*** You may need to click on the >> symbol in that area for the option to appear

    5. Select G: or P: as the drive letter

    6. Enter the network path desired.

    7. Click Finish

    8. If you are on an ASU computer, such as an ASU laptop brought home or on a business trip, then the system will know you and will not ask you to log in.  The network drive will now appear in the Windows Explorer.

    If you are on a non-ASU computer, then you will be asked for your username and password.

    9. Enter asurite\username in the first field of the login window

    11. Check the box next to Remember my password

    13. The network drive will now appear in Windows Explorer
