2024 ASU Business and Health Summit focuses on innovation in the health sector
Register today for the Nov. 14 event.
Join the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and the Arizona Biomedical Research Center, for the third annual Arizona Business and Health Summit (ABHS). The summit will be a place for researchers, clinicians, practitioners, public policy makers, and community partners to advance business and health throughout Arizona through increased collaboration.
This year’s theme is “Innovation for Value in the Health Sector: Investing for Quality, Safety, Outcomes, and Cost.” The event takes place Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, on ASU’s Tempe campus.
The summit is an opportunity to explore factors impacting the drive for value through innovation in the health sector — essentially, greater benefits to patients at lower costs. Investment firms, entrepreneurs, and biomedical sector companies are going through challenging times to meet the goal for healthcare provision in an environment of conflicting pressures.
Presenters will discuss strategies employed in the face of challenging healthcare reimbursement schemes, stakeholder expectations, and heightened concern for preparedness and resilience. Sessions during the day will prepare attendees to:
- Learn how the construct “value” is interpreted and motivates entities across the healthcare ecosystem to take action.
- Understand factors impacting innovation for value in the health sector.
- Understand how investors assess innovative products and processes and the likelihood for achieving success in the choice of strategies and their implementation.
- Become an orchestrator of change by recognizing the importance of innovators, clinicians, and providers partnering to inform needed innovation.
- Craft a framework for development plans to assure successful development and adoption of innovation.
