Spring training returns to the Valley for another season

According to a study by the L. William Seidman Research Institute at ASU's W. P. Carey School of Business, the 2018 Cactus League season generated $373 million in Arizona’s gross domestic product. The study also found a total economic impact of $644.2 million. Bars and restaurants benefited the most from out-of-town visitors, with an estimated expenditure of $122.6 million. The median daily spending per party for out-of-state visitors was $405, with an average four-day stay.
