Best & Brightest Online MBAs: Class of 2018
Who are this year’s graduates from the W. P. Carey Master of Business Administration online program? Poets & Quants interviewed two graduates — and found out what do they do outside the virtual classroom for fun.
In this article on Poets & Quants June 6, 2018, a congresswoman who earned her MBA to better help her business constituents and a U.S. Marine Reserves Captain who was promoted during the program share their experiences earning the W. P. Carey Master of Business Administration degree online.
I decided to get my MBA so I could be a better member of Congress. I work with businesses large and small alike, and they all face different challenges when dealing with government bureaucracy and regulations. This program has helped me understand their challenges better, and I’ve taken smarter and more effective actions in Congress to help businesses since starting this program.
— U.S. Representative Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ)
I got an incredible amount of professional development, fulfillment, and fun out of the program. And I’ve kept growing professionally. I was promoted during my time in the program, and that is something I would have missed had I done it full-time.
— U.S. Marine Reserves Captain and Amazon operations manager Christopher Ott
